Currituck CountyI Mager EVERTON of the said county of Currituck being of sound mind do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament as follows viz:
Item 1st - I give and bequeath unto my great grand-son Mager Everton WALKER, the son of Geo. W. WALKER and Alice E. WALKER now of the city of Norfolk Va., the sum of one thousand dollars
Item 2d - I give and bequeath unto my grand-daughter Alice E. WALKER wife of George W. WALKER of Norfolk Va. the sum of five hundred dollars.
Item 3d - I give and bequeath unto my grand-daughter Gertrude C. BAUM daughter of Josephus BAUM the sum of five hundred dollars.
Item 4th - I give and bequeath unto Julian C. BAUM my grand-son and son of Josephus BAUM the sum of five hundred dollars.
Item 5th - I give and bequeath unto Lloyd Clinton BAUM my grand-son the son of Josephus BAUM the sum of five hundred dollars.
Item 6th - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Carolina BAUM the wife of Josephus BAUM the sum of one thousand dollars.
Item 7th - I give and bequeath unto my niece Buena Vista DOZIER one hundred dollars.
Item 8th - I give unto my son-in-law Josephus BAUM all my stock of horses cattle and sheep.
Item 9th - I give and bequeath to Josephus BAUM and Carolina his wife my son-in-law and daughter all the balance and residue of my estate.
Item 10th - I hereby direct my executor forthwith to convert all my estate into money and pay off the legacies herein named as soon as the money can be collected.
Item 11th - I hereby nominate constitute and appoint son-in-law Josephus BAUM to be sole executor to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 7th day of May A.D. 1883.

Currituck County} September 9th day 1885A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Mager EVERTON is offered for probate by Josephus BAUM, the executor named therein and the execution of the same duly proven by the oath and examination of T.G. SKINNER and J.W. ALBERTSON, the subscribing witnesses thereto. And it appearing that the said Mager EVERTON was of full age to make a will, of sound mind and disposing memory and under no restraint or undue influence. Therefore it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that the said paper writing thus proven be and it is hereby declared to be the last will and testament of the said Mager EVERTON, every part and parcel thereof. Let the same with this certificate be recorded and filed.
Thereupon the said Josephus BAUM executor aforesaid qualified by taking the oath prescribed by law.
