Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen. I Elizabeth FEREBEE Widow of William FEREBEE being in a declining state of health but of sound mind, knowing it is appointed once for all to die, do make this my last will and testament.
Item: I give to my daughter Anne PERKINS seventy pounds current money of this state.
Item: I lend to my daughter Martha MUNCREEF one Negro boy called Tom to her use during her life, and aftere her death, I give the said negro Tom to my Grandson Sampson MUNCREEF.
Item: I give to my daughter Mary BAXTER seventy pounds current money of the state.
Item: I give my daughter Sarah BALENTINE one negro woman called Chloe, one cow and yearling which she has already received for ever, one large dutch oven and all the things that I have before lent her.
Item: I give to my daughter Frances DAUGE one negro man called Jack.
Item: I give to my Grandaughter Molly MANNING one feather bed and furniture, one large trunk and one linnen wheel.
Item: I give to my Grandaughter Elizabeth Cooper BALLENTINE one large brass skillett.
Item: I give to my Grandaughter Elizabeth DAUGE two ewes and lambs.
Item: I give to my Grandaughter Nancy BAXTER one cow and calf.
Item: I give to my son James FEREBEE twenty barrels of corn.
Item: I give to my son Thomas Cooper FEREBEE one negro boy called George, one bay mare called Nancy, one yoke of oxen, one ox cart, one ox chain one horse cart, all my bonds, notes and accounts, the crop that is now growing all my pewter and cookery, only I wish him to let my son James FEREBEE have apart provided he sees he will take care of it and all the remainder of my Estate after making good my before mentioned gifts.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my sons Joseph FEREBEE, Samuel FEREBEE and Thomas Cooper FEREBEE my whole and soul executors to my last Will and Testament, revoking and disannulling all others. In Witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 25th day of August Anno domini 1794.
