Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I Robert GIBSON of the County of Currituck in the State aforesaid in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four June the third day, being in a low state of health but of a sound disposing mind and memory Thanks be to God for the same make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as followeth viz.
Principally and first of all I recommend my soul to Almighty God that first gave it me, and my body to be buried in a decent christian like manner at the discresion of my executor and as to my worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and bequeath in the following manner-----
Item: I give and bequeath unto David GIBSON my land and plantation that lyeth joining on the north river swamp as it is butted and bounded to him and his heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath unto Michel GIBSON and John GIBSON Sons of Lemuel GIBSON dec. the land and plantation whereon I formerly lived to him and theirs heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeath all the remainder part of my estate both within doors and without to be equally divided between David GIBSON, Mary LUTTS, Tamer STITH, Lydia KINDLEY and Sarah LAND to them and theirs heirs forever.
Lastly I do hereby appoint David GIBSON executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoaking and disanulling all other will or wills ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
