In the name of God Amen. I Luke GREGORY of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being weak in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory, do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

First of all my will and desire is that my land on or joining the Albemarle Sound be sold at the discretion of my executor hereafter named, also the balance of all my estate real or personal, except what I hereafter give unto my beloved Wife Polly GREGORY and my Son Luke GREGORY and the money arising from such sales to be appropriated to pay all my just debts.

Secondly I give unto my beloved Wife Polly GREGORY two feather beds and furniture, her first choice of all the iron ware relative to cooking, one cow named Pide and her oldest calf, all the crockery ware all the chairs, her first choice of the linnen wheels and the big or woolen wheel, all the farming tools, one horse cart, seven black shotes, four pigs, negro March and negro Martin and all the provision on hand viz. corn, pork, bacon and the like, and for her to have all the rents or proffits or issues arising from the land for this present year that I left to be sold and all the poltery on hand.

And thirdly I give and bequeath unto my youngest Son Luke GREGORY one mair named Nancy Rony.

Lastly and finally my will and desire is after all my just debts are punctually paid as above specified for my beloved Wife Polly GREGORY to have the balance of my estate either real or personal, except the above mentioned mare to her only benefit and behoof forever.

Lastly I nominate constitute and fully appoint my worthy friend Nathan H. GREGORY my whole and sole executor to this my Last Will and Testament as witness my hand and seal February 17 AD 1827.

    This Last Will and Testament of Luke GREGORY Deceased was proved in open Court by the oaths of Lemuel GREGORY and John M. CORBELL subscribing witnesses thereto in open Court in due form of law and ordered to be recorded. When the executor Nathan H. GREGORY came into open Court and qualified in due form of law and ordered that letters testamentary issue.
