North Carolina, Currituck County} To wit.
October the Seventh day one Thousand seven hundred & Sixty-nine In the name of God Amen I Samuel GREGORY of the County of Currituck & Province of North Carolina do call to mind the uncertainty of life make this my last will & testament.
Item. I lend to my dearly beloved wife Sarah GREGORY during her natural life the use of all my lands and after her decease to be disposed of in manner hereafter mentioned. I give & bequeath to my dear wife one negro man named Obed and all my Stock of horses cattle hogs and all my household goods and all my outstanding debts to her & her heirs forever.
Item. I give & bequeath to my dear children Thomas GREGORY, Samuel GREGORY, Elizabeth GREGORY and Luke GREGORY all my lands to be equally divided between them after the decease of their mother to them & their heirs forever.
