In the Name of God, Amen the Sixteen day of Febuary One thousand Seaven hundred and thirty five;six According to the Computation? of the Church of England I Robert ERVIN of Curretuck pt in No. Carolina Marchant Taylor [does he mean a merchant & a tailor or is this a mans name?] being of Perfect Memory and Remembrance Praised be God do make and Ordain this my last wil and Testament in manner and form following----
Imprimis I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty GOD my Maker hoping that through the Meritorious death and Passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeeme to Receive free Pardon and for giveness of al my Sins and as for my body to be buried in Christian burial at the Diserction of my Executors here after nominated.
Item I do Ordain George POWERS to be my hole? and Sole Executor of al my lands houses and Everything that I now posses of my Real and Pasonables Estate or what Sumever may be Recovured by law upon Condition that he Shal pay al my Dedts and Legates and make him Sole Executor of this my last wil and Testament revoking al other wills and Testaments.
In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal this day & year above Written.

Mr. George POWERS Exhibited a Will of Robert ERVIN deceased which was proved in open Court By the Oaths of Humphre VINCE & William WHITE two of ye Subscribing Evedences thereunto and there upon ye Said POWERS took the Executors Oath by Law Appointed then Also Appeared Isaac DAVIS Esqr & became his Security in ye penial Sum of fifty pounds Lawfull Money.Vara Capa Test: Wm.
