In the name of God Amen----
I William IVES being sick and weak in bodilay helth at present but of perfect sound sence and memory Thanks be to God for the same and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life and that it is appointed once for all men to depart this mortal life and what it hath pleased Almighty God to bess(sic) me with in this life of all my world ye goods it is my will and desire should be disposed of as followeth.
Item: I leave to my beloved Wife Abigail my plantation and land belonging to it during hir natural life and widowhood.
Item: and at the death of my Wife or marrage I give and bequeath the aforementioned plantation and track of land to my Son Thomas IVES to him and his heirs as also one horse colt one red heifer one young sow and also one bed and furniture to be delivered to him when he shall arise at the age of twenty years old.
Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Uphan one bed and furniture to be delivered to hir when she shall arive to the age of sixteen years.
Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Lovey BOLT one noat of hand against Hezekiah DOUGE and also one noat of hand against John WIST, and also one noat of hand against Thomas CORNISH and also one brindled seteer and also two calves of a brindled and white colloros to hir and hir heirs.
Item: I leave to my beloved Wife Abigail all the remainder part of my moveable estate that is not yet given both within and without to hir in during hir life or widowhood, and at her death to my Daughter Uphan to hir and hir heirs lawfully begotten of body and also I consteatue and appoin my beloved Wife to be my whole and sole executor to bury my body in christan like maner and to setle my estate as aforementioned denying all other wills by me formerly made and acknowleage this to be my Last Will and Testament as wittness my hand and seal this 14th day of Apiril 1777.
