Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I Malan JARVES of Currituck County and in the State of North Carolina being sick in body but of sound and perfect memory blessed be God do this 6th day of January 1787 make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner following.
Impris: I leave to my Wife one horse by name Bell the old saddle and bridle three heffers and one cow and calf and six head of hogs, one plow harnes two hows(sic) and one ax and two ews and one bead and furniter two chests one jug and seven bottles, one pear(sic) of flesh forks, fire tongs and one coper tee kettle, two iron pots and all the spoons and knives and forks two basons, three plates one dish and one loom and furnature, one barrel of pork one meat barrel, two flat irins, two half bushels, two pigens, meal sive, and bread tra one side of leather, two smawl ones, two stocks of bees, morter and pissel, one littel wheal, two chears, one table, and four barrels of corn, three cups, one drinking glass, one veal, two silver pear of sleeve buttons, one looking glass, one porenger, one hacet, one hamer, this and all this I give to my Wife Grace JARVES during her natral widowhood and if she marries or dies then I give it to my too children if she dies or marries all this to be sold at publick sale and equaly divided.
To my Brother Solomon I give my loos coat I give to Mother one sow shote, to my Brother Willoughby JARVES one pear of shoes and one hat, and all the rest of my out side clothers I give to Maxamillan and Willoughby JARVES eaqual to be divided and all the rest of my property in doors and out dors I leave to be sold at publac sale. I give to my Sister Ann one silk handkerkief-----
I do make and ordain my well beloved Wife Grace JARVES and my trusty friend and Brother Solomon JARVES executors of this my Last Will and Testament whereof I have hereunto I set my hand and seal this day and date aforesaid.
