The Last Will and Testament of Thomas JARVIS dec'd was Exhibited at Nov. Term 1835 and Proven by the oath of Daniel LINDSEY SENR. and ordered Recorded.

In the name of God amen. I Thos. JARVIS SENR. of the State of North Carolina and Currituck being in weeke state of health but of sound mind and memory caling to mind that it is appointed for all men to die dow make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth.

   Item I Give and bequeath unto my son Ethard F. JARVIS all of my Land westard of the cross fense at the South East corner of James JARRODs Lane thence a strate course to the woods across the cleared land and cros fence between him and me all so one cow together with all other property that he has of mine in his possession to him and his heirs.

   Item I Give and bequeath unto my son Samuel JARVIS all of my Land laying on the east side of the main road all so two feather beds & furnature and one desk one chest one sow pig to him & his heirs forever.

   Item I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Equila JARVIS my Boufat and all the furnature therein and six chairs two feather beds & furnature one chest one trunk to her & her heirs forever.

   Item I lend unto my daughter Equla JARVIS my house and land whereon I now live that is to say to begin at the main road adjoining the land of James JARROD thence with the lane between me and said JARROD thence with the lane to Ethard JARVIS line thence with said line to the back fence & woods thence to the main road & fence thence with the road to the first station to her during her natural life after her death to be equally divided between my two sons Ethard F. JARVIS and son Samuel JARVIS to them and their heirs forever.

   Item I give unto my Daughter Equilly JARVIS one mair & cart all so one negro woman by the name of Amey all my furnature on hand and all my kitchen furnature and my hogs that is not given away and one cow & calf to her and heirs and all of my hosen furnature that is not given to her & heirs.

   Item I give unto my two sons Saml. & Ethard JARVIS one piece of marsh land called Fostrg? Iland? to them and their heirs.

   Item I give unto my Daughter Nancy HARRIS all the remainder of my chairs one Table all the money or accounts that her husband owes me and all the other property that tha have of mine to them and their hars.

   Item I give unto my aon Ethard JARVIS one gun & one watch to him & his heirs.

   In witness whair of I the testator Thos. JARVIS SEN. Dow acknowledge the above to be my last will and testament in witness whair of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 15th of April 1835.
