Present His Majesties Justicies
The Last Will and Testament of Samuel JOANES (sic) was proved by the oath of Absolem LEGGET in due form of law the executor being duly qualified ordered to be recorded as follows
In the name of God Amen, I Samuel JONES of Currituck County in the Province of North Carolina being sick and weak in body but of a sound and perfect memory Thanks be to Almighty God for it and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life I ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and for following.
Imprimis: I give and bequeath to my well beloved Wife Mary JONES all my hole estate within doors and without doors her widowhood or natural life and then to Emle Bunnell WHEALEY the son of Sarah WHEALEY to him and his heirs for ever.
Item: I also appoint my well beloved Wife Mary JONES with my trusty friend Benjamin DAUGE to be my whole and sole executors of this my Last Will and Testament in witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and afixed my seal this the third day of October one thousand seven hundred and seventy
