Augustus Linton
July 12, 1826; May Term 1829
Currituck Co. Will Book 3; pg. 245In the name of God Amen. I Augustus LINTON of the State of North Carolina and County of Currituck do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows,
Item It is my will and desire that all my just debts be paid by my exr. hereafter named.
Item. I loan the use of my land to my beloved Wife during her natural life.
Item I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife all the remainder of my estate within doors and without to her and her heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath to my Son in Law Richard BRIGHT my tract of land after the death of his Mother on the proviso that he shall pay to his Sister Caroline BRIGHT one hundred dollars and my Sister Millison LINTON one hundred dollars each.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my beloved Wife Lovey LINTON to be my whole and sole exectrix to this my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have set my hand seal this 12th day of July 1826

Court of Pleas and Quarter Session May Term 1829This Last Will and Testament of Augustus LINTON Decd. was exhibited and proved in open Court by the oath of Josiah JOLLIFF and ordered to be recorded when the executor therin named relinquished her right as executor thereto and at the same time Lovey LINTON widow of said Augustus LINTON signified her dissent to said Will and the same was entered of record.
