Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I Peter LITCHFIELD of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, calling to mind its appointed for all men once to die being weak in body but sound of dispensation do make this my Last Will and Testament.
Item I give unto dear beloved Brother John LITCHFIELD one negro girl named by the name of Sell to him and his heirs forever.
Item I give unto my dear beloved Sister Polley EVERTON one negro woman by the name of Ester to her and her heirs forever.
Item I lend unto my Brother in Law and Sister names of Selvenus BARCO Cisiah BARCO his wife all of my land their natural lives
Item I give and bequeath unto my dear beloved Cousin William BARCO the Son of my Sister Cisiah BARCO all my land to him and his heirs forever.
Item I order all the remainder of my estate to be sold and out of it all of my debts to be paid and the remainder of it I give to my Brother John LITCHFIELD.
In witness to the same I have hereunto set my hand and fixt my seal this the 2nd day of November 1799
