Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, Jonathan LUFMON of the County of Currituck, being very sick and week, but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be to God, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is once appointed for all men to die, I do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say, principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to burried in decent christain burrial at the descretion of my executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly goods or estate wherewith it has please God to bless me in this life I give and demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form----
Item I give and bequeath to my Son Thomas LUFMAN my plantation and all my land and if my Son Thomas LUFMAN doth die without lawful heir my will and desire is for Elizabeth CANNAIN to have my plantation and land to her forever.
Item I give the use of my plantation to my Wife Ezabell LUFMAON to her during of her life and likewise I desire for my Wife to give my Son Thomas LUFMON one year of schooling and my is for my executors is to sell at publick sale all the rest of my estate both within doors and without.
I do ordain and appoint my dear beloved Wife Ezabell LUFMON my hole and sole executor to this my Last Will and Testament given under my hand and seal in this present year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five.
