Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I Daniel McPHARSON of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being sick of body but of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say---
I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Mary McPHARSON the use and benefit of all my lands and houses during her natural life also one horse and cart together with all the farming utensills, household and kitchen furniture, two cows and calves and all the money that is due from the parish for keeping Willoughby ETHERIDGE.
Item I give and bequeath to my Son Robert McPHARSON one heifer, one gun, and one ewe also one half of my swarre tools, consisting of one saw, four frows, and two drawing knives.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Son George McPHARSON one cow, one gun, one ewe, and half my swamp tools, consisting of one saw, four frows, and two drawing knives.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary McPHARSON one cow and one ewe.
Item After the death of my beloved Wife Mary McPHARSON, I give and bequeath unto my Son Asa McPHARSON all my lands, houses and one gun----and after the decease of my Wife it is my will that my Daughter Betsey FISK should have one bed and furniture also to my Daughter Mary I give one bed and furniture and to my Daughter Jacamine McPHARSON I give one bed and furniture, these beds and furniture that I have given to my Daughters they are to have after the decease of their Mother.
and I do hereby nominate and appoint my beloved Wife Mary McPHARSON my executrix to this my Last Will and Testament revoking and disannulling all wills heretofore by me made ratifying and confirming this my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I do sign seal publish and declare this to be my Last Will, this twentieth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven.
