Andrew McPherson
Nov. 18, 1893 - Dec. 22, 1893

In the name of God I Andrew McPHERSON of Currituck County and state of North Carolina being weake in bodey but of a sound mind and memory blesed be God for the same do this day make this my last will and testament in the maner and form foloing.

I give and bequith unto my wife Patsy McPHERSON all of my chattle property and I also lone to my wife Patsy McPHERSON all of my lands or real estate duren her natchral life after her death to be equal devided with my lawful heirs.  I also leave my wife Patsy McPHERSON to pay all of my just debts and collect all my just credets haveing closed my gifts.

I now appoint my wife Patsy McPHERSON my lawful executrix to this my last will and testement revokeing all other wills made by me to the present date in witness wheare on I set my hand and seal this November the 18th 1893.

PROBATE OF WILL WITH EXAMINATION OF WITNESSES THERETO

State of North Carolina    }    SS.  In the Superior Court
    Currituck County         }

     A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Andrew McPHERSON deceased, is exhibited before me, the undersigned, Clerk of the Superior Court for said County, is proved by the oath and examination of A.T. GARRETT and J.P. ETHERIDGE the subscribing witnesses thereto, who, being duly sworn, doth depose and say, and each for himself deposeth and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown them purporting to be the last will and testament of Andrew McPHERSON that the said Andrew McPHERSON  in the presence of this deponent, subscribed his name at the end of said paper writing, now shown as aforesaid, and which bears date of the 18th day of November 1893.
     And the deponent further saith, that the said Andrew McPHERSON the testator aforesaid, did, at the time of subscribing his name as aforesaid, declare the said paper writing so subscribed by him and exhibited, to be his last will and testament, and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name at the end of said will as an attesting witness thereto, and at the request and in the presence of said testator.  And this deponent further saith, that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said last will as aforesaid, and at the time of deponent's subscribing his name as an attesting witness thereto, as aforesaid, the said Andrew McPHERSON was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent: And further these deponents say not.

CERTIFICATE OF A PROBATE OF A WILL

State of North Carolina}    In the Superior Court
     Currituck County    }    In the matter of the last will of Andrew McPHERSON
    It appearing to the Court by the oath and examination of A.T. GARRETT and J.P. ETHERIDGE the subscribing witnesses thereto, that the paper writing propounded by the Executor therein named, is the last will and testament of Andrew McPHERSON and that the same was duly executed by said Andrew McPHERSON in the presence of said witnesses and that at the time of signing the same the said Andrew McPHERSON was of sound min.  It is therefore adjudged that the said paper writing be admitted to probate as the last will and testament of the said Andrew McPHERSON and the executrix therein named qualify as such.  This the 22nd day of December 1893.

EXECUTOR'S OATH

  North Carolina  }    SS. In Superior Court       
Currituck County }
    I, Patsy McPHERSON, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I believe this writing to be and contain the last will and testament of Andrew McPHERSON deceased; and that I will well and truly execute the same by first paying his debts and then his legacies, as far as the said estate shall extend, or the law will charge me; and that I will well and faithfully execute the office of an executor agreeable to the trust and confidence reposed in me, and according to law, so help me God.
