Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I Peter MORRISET of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being weak of body but sound and disposing mind and memory calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz.
Imprimis I give and bequeath to my Son Cason MORRISET the land and plantation whereon I now live to him and his heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath to Tempty MORRISET one cow and calf named Luck to her and her heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Peggy MORRISET one cow and calf called Damsel to her and her heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Polly MORRISET one cow and calf called Blossom to her and her heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Nancy MORRISET one cow and calf called Browney to her and her heirs forever.
Item and further more I give and bequeath the use of the above mentioned articles to me beloved Wife Nancy MORRISET during her natural life also all the remainder of my estate within doors and without I leave to my beloved Wife as aforesaid and at her decease to be equally divided between my three Daughters Peggy, Polley, and Nancy MORRISETT and their heirs
Lastly I will and desire that my Wife Nancy MORRISET and my Brother William MORRISETT to be and are hereby appointed my sole executors to this my Last Will and Testament in witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 31st day of January 1803.
