The Last Will and Testament of John MORSE was exhibited at May term 1838 and proven by the oath of John S. WILLIAMS one of the Subscriben evidences in due from of Law and ordered Recorded.
In the name of God Amen. I John MORSE of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form that followeth namely I lend unto my Wife Linner MORSE all of my Land and the apertainces there on during? my wido.
Item I Give and bequeath unto my daughter Olife MORSE all of the above named Lands and appertainences to her and her heirs forever. I lend one negro woman by the name of Nancy and one negro boy by the name of Soloman to my wife Linner MORSE during her natturl life. I give and bequeath the above named negroes Nancy and Soloman unto my Daughter Olife MORSE to her and her heirs forever.
Item I Give and bequath unto my Wife Linner MORSE two Beds and furniture to her and her heirs forever.
Item I Give and bequath unto my Wife Linner MORSE one brided cow and steer to her and her heirs forever.
Item I Give and bequath unto my Wife Linner MORSE five ewes and lambs of the first choice to her and her heirs forever.
Item I Give and bequath unto my Wife Linner MORSE all of my farming utentials and kitchen furniture to her and her heirs for ever.
Item I Give and bequath to my Wife Linner MORSE six head of dry hogs two sowes and ten pigs to her and her heirs forever.
Item I Give and bequath to my Wife Linner MORSE one mare and cart to her and her heirs forever.
Item I Give and bequath unto my Wife Linner MORSE all the corn and pork on hand to her and her heirs forever.
Item I Give and bequath unto my daughter Olife MORSE one negro girl by the name of Cloey to her and her heirs forever.
Item I give and bequath unto my daughter Olife MORSE two cows and calfs to her and her heirs forever.
Item I Give and bequath unto my daughter Olif MORSE two beds and furniture to her and her heirs forever.
I leave all the residue of my property with in dores and with out to be sold and after paying my just debts to be eaqually divided between my wife Linner MORSE and my daughter Olife MORSE to them and there heirs for ever.
I nominate constitute and appoint David MORSE my Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other and former wills by me at any time heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 23 day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight. Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator John MORSE as and for his Last Will and Testament.
