In the name of God. Amen.
I Zachariah MORSE of Currituck County and the State of North Carolina, being in a low state of health, but of a sound mind and memory, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say.

Item: I lend unto my Wife Sarah MORSE all my lands and plantions, and all the rest of my property within doors and without, during her widowhood.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann MORSE one negro boy named Silas, and one linen wheel, to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I lend unto my Daughter Elizabeth DOXEY the use of negro woman Ruth during her life, and after her death I give and bequeath said negro woman Ruth unto all her children. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth DOXEY the sum of twenty five dollars, to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Polly BRAY all the property in her possession, which I have before lent her and one negro woman named Susannah to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas MORSE, one bed and furniture, one cow and calf, one set of black smith tools, and one hundred dollars in cash of the money I have on hand to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Son William B. MORSE, the tract of land I bought of John SPANN, one yoke of stears, one bed and furniture, one cow and calf, one ewe and lamb, one sow and pigs, to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah MORSE and leave her to be free at the age of eighteen, one bed and furniture, one linen wheel, one cow and calf, and one negro boy named Miles, to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Julia MORSE and leave her to be free when she arrives to the age of fifteen, one bed and furniture, one linen wheel, two hundred dollars in cash of the money I have on hand and one negro girl child named Jenny, to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my two Sons David and Wilson A. MORSE the land and plantation whereon I now live, to be equally divided between them, also negro man Jack, and one bed and furniture, equally between them and their heirs forever.

Item: I also give and bequeath unto my two Sons David MORSE and Wilson A. MORSE all the remainder of my estate not given away in legacies, within doors and without, to be equally divided between them, to them and their heirs forever. I constitute make and ordain my Sons Thomas MORSE and William B. MORSE Executors, and my Sarah MORSE Executrix, to this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former will and bequeaths by me made, and acknowledgeing this only, to be my Last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this the sixth day of December and in the fortieth year of the Independence of America, Anno Domini, One thousand eight hundred and sixteen.
