Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I Frankey NICHOLS, of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God do this tenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six, make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in the following manner that is to say, First.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Nance COX one negro woman named Din to her and her heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Pegy NICHOLS one negro man named Tom and one negro woman named Bridget to her and her heirs forever to live where she lives and to work for her maintance.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Pegy NICHOLS all my new clothes and one feather bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Pegey NICHOLS all the remainder of my estate both within doors and without to be sold by my executor for six months credit the same for the maintenance of the said Pegey NICHOLS yearly.
And lastly I make and ordain my worthy friend John NORTHERN exec. of this my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I the said Frankey NICHOLS have to this my Last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
