I N.B. OWENS and wife Frances OWENS of the afore said county and state being of sound mind but considering the uncertainly of ones earthly existence do make and declare this our last will and testament.
1st Our executor hereinafter named shall give our bodies a descent burial suitable to the wishes of our relations and friends and pay all funeral expenses together with all of our just debts out of the first money which may come unto her hands belonging to our estate.
2nd We give and desire to our beloved daughter Nannie B. FORBES wife of I.C. FORBES deceased our farm where we live and said tract in Poplar Branch Township, Currituck County adjoining the lands of Silva BELANGA deceased on the west and J.A. FORBES and W.H. GALLOP and on the south binding the lands of J.A. FORBES and on the east binding the lands of J.W. FORBES and Stephen GORDAN? and on the north binding the lands of P.H. FORBES containing 50 acres more or less and ½ this being our share of the Isaac OWENS deceased tract of land.
3rd We give to our beloved daughter our government bonds and _____ bonds and war saving stamps and our money if there shall be any at our deaths and all of our chattel property of all kinds such as hogs cattle mules and horses and chickens turkeys geese and all of our house hold and kitchen furniture of every kind and growing crops if there should be any at our deaths.
We hereby constitute and appoint our daughter Nannie B. FORBES wife of I.C. FORBES deceased our lawful executor to this our last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause there of hereby revoking and declaring utterly void all other wills and testaments by us heretofore made.
In witness where of we the said N.B. OWENS and wife Nathon Frances OWENS do hereunto set our hands and seals this 20th day Sept. A. D. 1918.
Signed sealed and published and declared by us to be our last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who, at our request and in our presence and in the presence of each of us do subscribe our names as witnesses.
