In the name of God Amen, I Henry PADDRICK SR. of the State of North Carolina Currituck County being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be given to God calling unto mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say Principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent christian burial at the descretion of my executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath God to bless me with in this life, I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form
First I give and bequeath unto my Lawfull Son Benjamin PADDRICK fifty acres of land in the northard end of the pattent and one bible and a feather bed and my boat known by the name of Trial and one case, and chest, only the said Benjamin PADDRICK my Son do not take the above mentioned articles while I the said Henry PADDRICK survives or Anna my lawfull Wife, and to my Son Benjamin PADDRICK I give one cow and calf also I give to Charity PADDRICK my lawfull Daughter one bed and one cow and calf and one chest and all the rest that remains not mentioned in this will after my decease or Anna my Wife shall be equally divided amongst my five children and do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disanul all and every other former Testaments Wills legacies bequeaths and executors by me in any way before mentioned this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I set my hand seal Feby 23, 1788
