Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I Henry PERKINS, of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being very sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory, Thanks be given unto God, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that is appointed unto all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say, Principally and first of all I give and recomend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be burried in decent christain burrial at the discrection of my executor and as touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give dismise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form,
First I give unto my brother Jeremiah PERKINS one bed and furniture,
all my wearing appearel I give to my Cousion Gidion WHITEHURST
Also I give unto my Cousin Dinah WHITEHURST and my Cousin Elizabeth WHITEHURST all the remainder of my property my mare my bonds and notes of hands and all the money that I have
I also appoint my trusty friend Caleb SIMMONS executor to this my Last Will and Testament, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of Oct. one thousand seven hundred and ninety five.
