Currituck County Wills
The Last Will and Testament of Josiah PERRY SENR. was exhibited in open Court and proven by the Oath of Malachi CORBEL Jurat one of the subscribing evidences thereto at Feb Term 1839 and Thomas TWIFORD executor qualified in due form of Law and ordered recorded.
In the Name of God Amen, I Josiah PERRY SENR. being old but of sound mind and memory and knowing it is appointed for all men to die Making all other Wills Null and void do make this my last Will and Testament.
First, I give to my son Frederick PERRY one Cow called Browney and one Loom and one Grind Stone.
Secondly, I give to my son Josiah PERRY one small Bed bolster and pillow and three blankets and all of my wearing apparel and silver buttons.
Thirdly, I give to my daughter Charlotte GAIMEL one Cow Called Star.
Fourthly, I give to my daughter Polly GALLOP one Cow called Hart.
Fifthly, I give to Nancy PADERICK all of the remainder of my Estate after paying my funeral expenses and debts if any.
I appoint Joseph Best and Thomas TWIFORD Executors to this my last Will as Witness my hand and Seal this the 25th day of July 1838.
