The Last Will and Testament of Levi POYNER Deceased was Exhibited at February Term 1821.
In the name of God Amen, I Levi POYNER of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being very sick but in perfect mind and memory thanks be given to the Almighty God calling to mind the mortality of my body knowing that it onst appointed for all one to die. Calling to mind the mortality of my body I give my Soul unto the hand of the God that gave it to me and my body to be buried at the descretion of my executors. Last of all I give and bequeath my property as follows.
To daughter Barbrey POYNER one bed the first choice to my daughter Angelico one bed 2 choice to my daughter Lotey one bed 3 choice.
To my 3 daughters above mentioned three linen wheels one for each of them.
To Caroliney BALLANCE wife of Willoughby BALLANCE one bed
To Fanny WALKER wife of William WALKER the value of one bed.
Now I give unto my son Enoch POYNER one horse and da gum plow and harness.
My land I give to my six sons to be equally divided to Griffen POYNER, Nathan POYNER, Enoch POYNER, Levy POYNER, Demcy POYNER, and Peleage POYNER the land above mentioned to equally divided.
I give all my ______ property within doors and without to be equally divided amongst my children . Calling this my Last Will and Testament disannuling all others _______ of writing where as I have set my hand and seal this January seventh in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty One Signed sealed I delivered in presence of us as witnesses.
