Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I William POYNER, of Currituck County and State of North Carolina, being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory Thanks be to God for it, do this 6th day of April 1788 make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following.
Imprimus I give and bequeath to my will beloved Brother Joseph POYNER the Schooner Hope to him and his heirs forever, likewise I also giv my clothes to my Brother Joseph POYNER I also apoint my friend Samuel SIMMONS to be my executor of this my Last Will and Testament utterly revoking, disallowing, and disanulling all other former Will or wills heretofore by me written or bequeath, ratifying and conforming (sic) this to be my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this day and date above mentioned.
