Currituck County Wills
The last will and testament of George ROWLAND deceased exhibited and proved at August Term 1815.
In the name of God Amen: I George ROWLAND of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina; being weak and sick in body, but of a sound and disposing mind and memory, and calling to mind the mortality of the body, do make and constitute this my Last Will and Testament in manner following, To Wit.
First I recommend my soul to Almighty God who gave it, and my body to the dust to be buried in a christian like manner at the discretion of my executors herein after mentioned and to what worldly goods it hath pleased God to bless me with I leave in manner following. Viz.
First I leave twelve acres of my land to be sold adjoining the road that leads to Jeremiah PERKINS to continue in equal width from Mr. BELLs line to the arch at the corner of John BELLs fence, also one horse colt, for six months credit.
Item. I give and bequeath to my Wife Polly ROWLAND all my property with in doors and without doors, and the plantation, during her widowhood.
Item. I give and bequeath all the remainder of my land to be equally divided between Edmund ROWLAND and Tilman ROWLAND and Andrew ROWLAND to them and their heirs forever.
I make and constitute and appoint my Wife Polly ROWLAND whole and sole executor of this my Last Will and Testament, revoking all other will or wills heretofore made by me. In witness whereunto I have set my hand and affixed my seal this 27th day of March one thousand eight hundred and twelve.
