In the name of God Amen, I Nancy SCARBOROUGH, of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being weak of body but of sound disposing mind and memory, blessed be the Almighty God for it calling into mind the mortality of my body it being appointed one for all people to die. I do make and ordain this instrument of wrighting to contain my Last Will and Testament Disanulling and revoking all other wills and testaments before maid by me either by word or by wrighting and this only to be taken as my Last Will and Testament.
First of all I recomend my soul to Almighty God that gave it and my body to be decently burried in a christian like manner in a place where it shall please my executors hereafter named and as to what worldly estate it hath been pleasd God to bless me fare above my disarts I give and dispose in manner and form as follows

First my will is that my just debts and funeral charges should be first paid in convenient time after my decease also my will and desire is that all my estate real and personal should be equaly divided between my two little Daughters Barshebe SCARBOROUGH and Adah SCARBOROUGH I also constitute and appoint my loving Brother Thomas BRADAY and my trusty friend John CLERK my sole executors to settle my estate according to my will and desire and as the law directs in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this second day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine.
