Currituck County} Office of Clerk Superior Court
North Carolina } March 4th 1884
A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Thomas B. SCOTT was offered for probate by Louisa Ann SCOTT the executrix named therein and the execution thereof duly proven before me by the oath and examination of Samuel D. WATERFIELD and Cornelius E. JONES two of the subscribing witnesses thereto and it appearing on said examination that the said Thomas B. SCOTT was of full age to make a will and of sound mind and disposing memory and under no restraint or undue influence; that they witnessed said will upon said testators request and in his presence by subscribing their names as such thereto and at the time that said testator signed the same. It is therefore adjudged and decreed that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last will and testament of the said Thomas B. SCOTT and it is ordered to be recorded and filed. And thereupon the said Louisa Ann SCOTT executrix aforesaid qualified as such by taking the oath prescribed by law.
