W.M. Seymore
July 5, 1905 - June 4, 1906

I W.M. SEYMORE, of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament to wit:

First, all my just debts shall be first fully paid.

Second - I give devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to my beloved wife Maggie L. SEYMORE, to have and to hold to her my said wife, so long as she remains my widow, and then to my living children.

Third - I nominate and appoint my said wife, Maggie L. SEYMORE, to be the executrix without any bond of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set his hand and seal this 5th day of July A.D. 1905.

WILL - ORDER FOR PROBATE OF A WILL

Currituck County}   In Re Estate of W.M. SEYMORE, deceased
    A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of W.M. SEYMORE, dec'd, is exhibited in open court for probate by Maggie L. SEYMORE executrix therein named; and the due execution thereof by the said W.M. SEYMORE, dec'd, is duly proven by the oath and examination of P.N. BRAY and T.L. McCLANEN subscribing witnesses thereto; and it is further shown to the satisfaction of the court by said witnesses that the said W.M. SEYMORE was, at the time of making said will, of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will and under no restraint to their knowledge, information, or belief:
     It is thereupon considered, adjudged by the Court that the said paper writing is and contains the last will and testament of W.M. SEYMORE, dec'd..  It is ordered that said will be admitted to probate and recorded in the Book of Wills of Currituck County and as such filed as provided by law in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of said County.
    It is further adjudged that said Maggie L. SEYMORE is a suitable person to act as Executrix and that she be allowed to qualify as executrix as provided by law and enter upon the discharge of the duties imposed by said trust.
    Dated this the 4th day of June 1906

APPLICATION FOR LETTERS TESTAMENTARY

Currituck County}   In the Matter of the last will of W.M. SEYMORE, dec'd.
    Maggie L. SEYMORE being sworn, doth say: That W.M. SEYMORE, late of said county, is dead, having first made and published his last will and testament; and that Maggie L. SEYMORE is the executrix named therein.
    Further, that the property of the said W.M. SEYMORE consisting of horses, cattle, hogs, sheep, house hold & kitchen furniture, &c. is worth about $200.00 so far as can be ascertained at the date of this application; and that Maggie L. SEYMORE, Sligo, N.C., is the party entitled under said will to the said property.

EXECUTOR'S OATH

    Currituck County}
    I, Maggie L. SEYMORE, do solemnly swear that I believe this paper writing to be and contain the last will and testament of W.M. SEYMORE that I will well and truly execute the same by first paying his debts and then his legacies, so far as the said estate shall extend, or the law will charge me, and all other duties pertaining to the office of Executor I will discharge according to law, to the best of my skill and ability.  So help me God.

PROOF OF WILL AND EXAMINATION OF WITNESSES THERETO

    Currituck County         }
     A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of W.M. SEYMORE, deceased, is exhibited before me, the undersigned, Clerk of the Superior Court for said County, by Maggie L. SEYMORE the executrix therein mentioned, and the due execution thereof by the said W.M. SEYMORE is proved by the oath and examination of P.N. BRAY one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, who, being duly sworn, doth depose and say for himself deposeth and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown him purporting to be the last will and testament of W.M. SEYMORE that the said W.M. SEYMORE in the presence of this deponent, subscribed his name at the end of said paper writing, now shown as aforesaid, and which bears day of the 5th day of July 1905.
     And the deponent further saith, that the said W.M. SEYMORE the testator aforesaid, did, at the time of subscribing his name as aforesaid, declare the said paper writing so subscribed by him and exhibited, to be his last will and testament, and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name at the end of said will as an attesting witness thereto, and at the request and in the presence of said testator.  And this deponent further saith, that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said last will as aforesaid, and at the time of deponent's subscribing his name as an attesting witness thereto, as aforesaid, the said W.M. SEYMORE was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent: And further these deponents say not.
