Currituck County Wills
North Carolina Currituck July the 12th 1803
I being much strickin in years and must shortly go the way of all flesh, I make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament denying all others
Item I give to my Son William SIMMONS one pair of stelyards and nothing else besides.
Item I give unto my Daughter Julia HILL one dollar cash and no besides.
Item I give unto my Son Anthony SIMMONS one case and bottles belonging thereunto and no more to him.
Item I give unto my Son Jonathan SIMMONS one silver dollar and no more
Item I give unto my Daughter Sarah McLANNING one chamber bed and stead and furniture belonging thereunto and one half of my weaving stays and one case and bottles which I have already lent unto her
Item I give unto my Daughter Polley SIMMONS the high bed stead and the bed and furniture belong thereunto and one safe and all the crockery ware and all the glass ware ware belong to said safe and one great wheel and one linning wheel one tea kittle, one pair of fire tongs and one half dozen tea spoons and one half dozen table spoons, one hatchet, one chest and one half dozen chairs and one sarch and her choice of the heifers but one of them I give her and one case and bottles belonging thereunto the case is now in the house that I gave her, the knife box and the knives and forks belonging thereunto I give unto her.
Item I give unto my Son Caleb SIMMONS the trunnell bed and stead and furniture belonging thereunto and one heifer called Damsel unto him I give and nothing else and all the remaining part of all my estate not given away to my children in legacies I desire and will to be sold by my executors and money arising from such or said property to pay all my debts and after the debts is paid the remaining money from the sale of such property I give unto my Daughter Polley SIMMONS.
I likewise appoint my Son William SIMMONS and my Daughter Polley SIMMONS executor and executrix of this my Last Will and Testament.
