The Last will and Testament of Mitchel SIMMONS, dec'd, was exhibited in open court at August Term 1832 and Proven by the oath of Benj. C. KELLUM a subscribing witness thereto the Executor therein named Qualifyed & ordered to be Recorded. /s/ Spence HALL ccc
State of North Carolina
Currituck CountyIn the name of Good [sic] Amen I Mitcheal SIMMONS of the County and State aforesaid Being very Sick and weake but in sound mind and memory thanks be given to God do make and publish this my Last will & Testament in manner and form as follows.
1st I give and recommend my sole to God and after this I dispose of my property as follows after paying of my Just and Lawful debts.
I give unto my daughter Rebeckah SIMMONS one bed and furnature first choise.
Item I give unto my daughter Curnety SIMMONS one bed and furnature 2nd choise.
Item I give unto my Daughter Delila EVANS Fifteen dollars.
The Ballance of my estate I leve to be equally divided between Delila EVANS, Rabeca SIMMONS, Cornely SIMMONS & John SIMMONS.
And I further appoint my worthy friend Enoch L. STEPHENS my Executor to this my Last Will and Testament revoaking all other will or wills before this in any manor what ever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6th of March in the year of our Lord 1832
