Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I William SIMPSON of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina caulling to mind the onsartinity of this life knowing that is appointed for all men to die being week in body but of a sound disposing mind do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner as followeth, first I give my soul to Almighty God that give it and my body to be buried at the descrection of my executors hereafter named, first I desire all my just debts to be paid, and as for my worldly estate that it been pleased God to bless me with I dispose of in manner and form as followeth---
Item: I give and beque unto my well beloved Wife Frances SIMPSON my half a schooner boote called the Two Friends also one mair called Nanee, Also two cows and calves and one yarlin Also one feather bed and forniter to her and her heirs forever. Also one linning wheel to her and her heirs forever.
Item: I give and bequeve unto my well beloved Daughter Anna SIMPSON one cow and calf and a heifer also one bead and bead stand and funiter also one chest and one lamb(?) one linnen wheel four puter plates and one bason and all her Mothers clothes to her and her heirs forever.
Item: And I William SIMPSON do appoint Nathan HALL and my Wife Frances SIMPSON and Sampson ETHERIDGE executors of this my Last Will and Testament in witness heair of have heair unto set my hand and seail this twenty sixt day of June 1786.
