Currituck County Wills
In the name of God Amen, I Perminas SMITH of Currituck County in the State of North Carolina being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following---
Imprimis: I give and recommend my soul to Almighty God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with I give devise and dispose of in the following manner and form Viz.---
I give to my Wife Sarah SMITH my dwelling plantation my plantation called SMITHs and my plantation called by the name of Enoch and with as much woodland adjoining on the eastward of sd. plantation as shall include one hundred and forty acres in the whole to her and her heirs forever.
Item: I give to my afsd. Wife Sarah SMITH all my houshold furniture all my cattle, horses and mares, all my hogs, sheep, and all my personal or moveable estate of what kind soever both within doors and without to her and her heirs forever.
Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my Wife Sarah SMITH executrix of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking and disannulling all former wills heretofore by me made ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament in witness whairof I have hereto set my hand and seal this 23 day of November Anno Dom 1782 signed sealed published and declared by the above Testator to be his Last Will and Testament in presence of
