State of N. Carolina}
Currituck County }I Elizabeth SNOWDEN being of Sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others by me made.
Item 1st I give and bequeath to my grand children Junius BRIGHT, Isaac WEST and Alonzo SNOWDEN all my Land and tenements which I maybe seized and possessed of at my death. It is my wish - all the land may [be] held in common between the three and not Sold or divided until the youngest one comes to be Twenty one years old.
Item 2d I give and bequeath to Nancy Lovi MANSFIELD the daughter of Norcissa Jane MANSFIELD my Bureau.
Item 3d I give and bequeath to Georgianna MANSFIELD the daughter of Norcissa MANSFIELD Six Stool chairs.
Item 4th I give and bequeath to Frances SNOWDEN the daughter of William SNOWDEN my Fancy Bed Quilt.
Item 5th It is my wish that my Executor hereafter named Shall Sell for Cash all the remainder of my property after paying all my debts & bringing expences out of the money to equally divide the remainder of the money arising from the Sale of this property among or between the following named persons Isaac BRIGHT, Norcissa MANSFIELD, Richard WEST, James TATUM, William Henry SNOWDEN, Walter SNOWDEN, and Frances SNOWDEN.
Item 6th It is my wish that my Executor shall rent out my land and tenements given in Item 1st to my Three grand children Junius BRIGHT, Isaac WEST and Alonzo SNOWDEN and equally divide the money after paying the Taxes among the three to whom I have given the land annually untill the youngest comes to be twenty one years old.
Lastly I appoint my grand Son Junius BRIGHT My Executor without Bond to this my last will and testament, as witness whereof I here set my hand and Seal this the 20th day of May 1872.
