In the name of God Amen, I Richard STANLEY of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being in perfect health and of sound disposing mind and memory calling to mind the certainty of death, do make and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz.

First I recommend my soul to Almighty God who gave it me and my body to be buried in a decent manner by excutors hereafter named.

Imprimies I give and bequeath to my Son Thomas STANLEY that part of my plantation whereon my old dwelling house stands comp_____(?) all my land between Timothy ETHEREDGEs line, my Daughter Mary Ann line, binding on the swamp up as an old ditch at the Peach Orchard thence binding said ditch to Timothy ETHERDIGE line containing twenty acres be the same more or less to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath to my Son Evan STANLEY the residue of my land comprehended between Timothy ETHEREDGEs line the above mentioned ditch the swamp and my Son Thomas STANLEYs line that runs across the plantation near where he formerly lived to Timothy ETHEREDGEs line containing ten acres be the same more or less to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath to my two Grandaughters Elisabeth STANLEY and Nancey STANLEY Daughters of my Son John STANLEY dec. five shillings each.

Item: I give and bequeath to my two Daughters Mary Ann WHITE and Sarah ETHERIDGE the residue of my estate both real and personal after paying my just debts and funeral charges, to be equally divided between them to them and their heirs forever.

Lastly I nominate and appoint my two Sons Thomas STANLEY and Evan STANLEY executors to this my Last Will and Testament In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the sixth day of May Anno Dom. 1790
