The last will and Testament of Samuel WATERFIELD was Exhibited in open court at August Term 1843 and the Execution of the same proved by the oaths of Alexander SMITH and Jno. I. WATERFIELD subscribing evedences there to in due form and David JONES Executor there to qualifyed in due form ordered Recorded.
In the name of God Amen. I Samuel WATERFIELD of Currituck County, Knotts Island N.C. being of sound and perfect mind and memory do this 2 day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three make and publish this my last will and Testament in the following manner that is to say.
First I lend all my land to my Wife Louisa WATERFIELDS during the time she remains my widow at her death or marrage I give said land to my three children Lydia Brian, Samuel D. and Louisa Ann WATERFIELD to be equally divided amongs them.
I leave all or as much of my parishable property as will satisfy or pay all my debts to be sold either privately or publickly as my executor may think best if my parishable property shall fail enough money to pay my debts I then wish my executor to sell as much of my land either by private or public sale as will pay the deficiency.
And here by make and ordain my friend David JONES executor of this my last will and Testament in witness whereof I the said Samuel WATERFIELDS have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
