Samuel E. Waterfield
Mar. 10, 1906 - July 20, 1908
I Samuel E. WATERFIELD of Knotts Island Currituck County State of North Carolina do make publish and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows.
Item 1st I give to my wif Roda all of my land where we now live - in fee simple for ever.
Item 2nd I give to my wife Roda all the rest of my estate of every Kind and description whatsoever including money and other rights of action to have and hold the same absolutly for ever.
Item 3rd I nominate constitute and appoint my beloved wife Roda WATERFIELD executrix to this my last will and testament and request and direct That she be allowed to qualify as such without giving security.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 10th day of March 1906.

A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Samuel E. WATERFIELD, deceased, is exhibited before me, the undersigned, Clerk of the Superior Court for said County, by Roda WATERFIELD, the executrix therein mentioned; and the due execution thereof by the said Samuel E. WATERFIELD is proven by the oath and examination of J.B. JONES and Z.T. FENTRESS the subscribing witnesses thereto: who, being duly sworn, doth depose and each for himself deposeth and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown him purporting to be the last will and testament of Samuel E. WATERFIELD and that the said Samuel E. WATERFIELD in the presence of this deponent subscribed his name at the end of said paper writing and which bears date of 10th day of March 1906. And the deponent further saith, that the said Samuel E. WATERFIELD the testator aforesaid, did, at the time of subscribing his name as aforesaid, declare the said paper-writing so subscribed by him and exhibited, to be his last will and testament and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name at the end of said Will as an attesting witness thereto, and at the request and in the presence of the said testator. And this deponent further saith, that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said last will as aforesaid and at the time of deponent's subscribing his name as an attesting witness thereto, as aforesaid, the said Samuel E. WATERFIELD was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of said deponent. And further these deponents say not.
