In the name of God, Amen. The seventh day of June in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and nineteen. I Thomas WHITE SEN. of the State of North Carolina and County of Currituck, being of sound mind and memory thanks be to God for the same, calling to mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, in manner and form allowing, to wit.

Imprimis. I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Bridget WHITE two negroes named Juda and Harry to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Wife Bridget WHITE two feather beds and furniture, two tables, two chests, one horse her choice, one cart, one riding chair and harness, one linen wheel one woollen wheel, six lag bottom chairs, three stool chairs, all my hogs, all my sheep, two cows and calves first choice, one stear on Dues Quarter Island her choice, four stocks of bees her choice, one loom and all the tacklin belonging to her, all my kitchen furniture, pots, tubs, pails etc, one bar plough, one weeding plough, two weeding hoes, two axes her choice, one hundred dollars in money to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I lend unto my Wife Bridget WHITE during her natural life or widowhood one safe and furniture, and after the death or marriage of my Wife Bridget WHITE, I give the above mentioned safe and furniture unto my Daughter Nancy MERCER and her heirs forever.

Item: I lend unto my Wife Bridget WHITE the use of the land and plantation, whereon I now live to include woodland, adjoining to said plantation, so as the plantation and woodland include one hundred acres of land, during her widow or natural life.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Nancy MERCER, after the marriage or death of my Wife Bridget WHITE, the land and plantation whereon I now live, to contain one hundred acres of land, and bounded as the old lines has heretofore been, to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my Daughter Nancy MERCER two cows and calves second choice, one bed and furniture, one linen wheel, and one chest, to her and her heirs forever, which bed and furniture, linen wheel and chest, she has has in her possession.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son William WHITE the land that I bought of my Son Thomas WHITE, reference being had to the deed Thomas WHITE JUN. gave me for said land the bounds of said land will fully appear, to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my Son William WHITE two cows and yearlings that is called his, also all the household furniture that I have given him that he has in his possession now, to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my Daughter Peggy WOODHOUSE one negro woman called Vilet and her children or increase; also all the cattle and moveable property she has now in her possession, given her by me to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my Son Thomas WHITE all the property that I have heretofore given him and he has or has had in his possession, to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I lend the use of the fifty acres of land that lieth on the south side of the land given to my Son William WHITE, and adjoining the land I sold to Daniel LINDSEY Esq. unto my Son Lemuel WHITE during his natural life.

Item. I give unto my Grandson John JARVIS son of Thomas JARVIS, after the death of my Son Lemuel WHITE fifty acres of land, lying on the south part of the land I gave unto my Son William WHITE, and adjoining the land I sold unto Daniel LINDSEY Esq., to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my Grandson John JARVIS one hundred dollars, to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my two Grand Daughters Dorcas and Polly JARVIS Daughters of Thomas JARVIS, one negro boy named Jack, to them and their heirs forever.

My will and desire is and I do hereby authorise and impower my executor after my decease to sell at publick sale for six months credit the land and plantation that I bought of William HUNNINGS decd, and the money or notes arising from the sale of said tract of land, I give unto my Son Thomas WHITE, Son William WHITE, and Daughters Peggy WOODHOUSE and Nancy MERCER, to be equally divided between them share and share alike to them and their heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my Son Thomas WHITE, my Son William WHITE and my Daughter Nancy MERCER three negroes, named Daniel, Bridget, and Tom, to equally divided between them, to them and their heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my Sons Thomas and William WHITE and my Daughters Peggy WOODHOUSE and Nancy MERCER, all the remainder part of my estate that I have not already given away of what kind or nature soever, to be equally divided between them, to them and their heirs forever.

Lastly. I appoint my Wife Bridget WHITE and Thomas WHITE SEN. (sic) my whole and sole executors. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
