I Elias WILLIAMS of Knotts Island of the County of Currituck State of N.C. being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say:
First I give my soul to Almighty God who first gave it and my body to my relations and friends to bury in a Christian and decent like manner.
Item I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth A. WILLIAMS my horse, all my cattle and all of my hogs.
Item I give and bequeath to Elizabeth A. WILLIAMS all of my household and kitchen furniture of every description whatever.
Item I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth A. WILLIAMS all of my farming implements of every description whatever.
Item to my wife Elizabeth A. WILLIAMS I give and bequeath all of the residue of my chattel property of any description whatever.
Item I lend to my wife Elizabeth A. WILLIAMS my north end farm adjoining the land of John WILLIAMS heirs and others, during her natural life
Item After the death of my wife Elizabeth A. WILLIAMS I give and divide the land between John E. MUNDEN, Richard E. WILLIAMS, in manner and form as follows
Item commencing on the south ridge at the road fence and running easterly to the bay and thence turning and running along the bay northerly till opposite the lane which is the division line between my land & John WILLIAMS heirs and thence running westerly down the said lane to the road and thence running along the road to the first station and also one half of my woodland commencing at the road on the south side after the death of Elizabeth A. WILLIAMS. I give and bequeath to John E. MUNDEN to him and his heirs forever on his mothers side.
Item commencing at the road on the north side and including one half of my woodland and thence running westerly down the dividing line westerly between my land and John WILLIAMS heirs to a marked pine at the marsh and thence in a straight line through the marsh till parallel with the west side of Raccoon Point and thence running southerly taking in half of the woodland after the death of Elizabeth A. WILLIAMS I give to Richard E. WILLIAMS to him and his heirs on his fathers side forever.
I do hereby appoint my wife Elizabeth A. WILLIAMS executrix to this my last will and testament to all intents and purposes declaring utterly void all wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I the said Elias WILLIAMS do hereunto set my hand and seal this 3rd day of March A.D. 1891.

A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Elias WILLIAMS dec’d is exhibited in open court for probate by John E. MUNDEN legatee therein named and the due execution thereof by the said ELIAS WILLIAMS dec’d is duly proven by the oath and examination of John W. BEASLEY and L.W. DUDLEY subscribing witnesses thereto: and it is further shown to the satisfaction of the court by said witnesses that the said Elias WILLIAMS was at the time of making said will of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will and under no restraint to their knowledge information or belief: It is thereupon considered adjudged, and decreed that said proof is sufficient and according to law and that said paper writing is and contains the last will and testament of Elias WILLIAMS dec’d and on motion it is ordered that said will be admitted to probate and recorded in the Book of Wills of Currituck County and as such filed as provided by law in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of said County.Dated this 22nd day of April 1896
