I Hollowell WILLIAMS of Currituck County State of North Carolina being of a sound disposing mind and memory, Thanks be to the adorable God and Saviour of the world for the same, Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following--

Imprimise I lan to my Wife Mary WILLIAMS two negros Cole, and Jean, and one half of the plantation and houses whereon I now live should she incline to spend the remnant of her days thereon and I also give my Wife one horse and my riding chair and ten hard dollars, all the estate that may decend from her Father to us, and request my children for my sake to use her with that tenderness her amiable good nature and tenderness, to me and them calls for.

Item: I give to my Son John Stephen WILLIAMS (the lands hereafter given to my Sons Tulle WILLIAMS, Hollowell WILLIAMS, and Thos. Swann WILLIAMS excepted) this plantation I now live on and lands adjacent, one negro man Joseph, horse Prince, my cattle and sheep to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give to my Son William WILLIAMS the lands and Plantation called LINARDs, joining CAVES &c. to him and his heirs forever

Item: I give to my son Tulle WILLIAMS the Bridge land as follows, begining at the foot of southend of the Bridge runing down the Creek to first small gut thence up the gut to a nole were Obediah CAPTS formerly lived round north side of the nole to a branch that makes up between said nole and were John CAPTS formerly lived to the Main road, thence south one quarter of a mile thence west to the Creek, so down the Creek by various courses to the first station to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give to my Son Hollowell WILLIAMS the following lands, begining at the old new ground north on old main road near meeting house, thence a streight course to a ditch in the back of the field joining Edwd. BUNIELs, down the ditch to new Ground Swamp, thence a streight course to a marked gum line between Daniel KINIONs heirs and my lands, thence a streight course to a oak standing in BUNIELs old field, thence dividing line between my lands and BUNIELs to line between my land and John BRAYs, thence down that line to Court house road at Robinsons Corner, thence up the Court house road as it formerly runed to the first station to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give to my Son Thos. Swann WILLIAMS my wind mill and two acres of land were he stands and negro Roben to him and his heirs for ever.

Item: I give the acres of fifty acres of land I bought of Josiah NICHOLSON to my five Sons, to them and their heirs forever.

Item: I give to my Daughter Mary MARCHANT two negro viz. Demse and Dobb one mare, one bed and furniture, which she now hath in possession to her and her heirs for ever.

Item: I give to my Daughter Salley WILLIAMS two negros viz. Tenent and Mender, one horse and one bed and furniture to her and her heirs for ever.

Item: I give to my daughter Elisabeth WILLIAMS two negros viz. Elisha and Luria, one horse and one bed and furniture to her and her heirs for ever.

The residue of my estate negros etc. I give to be equally divided between my four Sons William WILLIAMS, Tulle WILLIAMS, Hollowell WILLIAMS and Thomas Swann WILLIAMS to them and their heirs forever.

Item: I give to my Sister if she will except of him, negro man Thomas.

And Lastly I appoint my Son John Stephen WILLIAMS and worthy friend Thos. MARCHANT whole and sole executors of this my Will and Testament and request Mr. MARCHANT to take care of Thos.^* and my Son to take care of Hollowell, the other two to be put to some honest calling as they may think best, and request my Son and Friend to act in such a manner that we hereafter may have a friendly meeting were parting is no more, through the altoning blood of Christ the Redeemer of the Word on whom I do believe in --this 7th day of April 1794.
