In the name of God Amen.  I Joseph WILLIAMS of Hattrass Banks in the County of Currituck being very weak and low in body yet of a sound and perfect understanding and memory Thanks be to God for it do constitute this my Last Will and Testament and desire it may be received by all as such.

Imprimis: I most humbly bequeath my soul unto God my maker becheeching his most gracious acceptance of it and as for my body to be buried according to the discretion of my executors.

First I desire that all my worldly debts be paid out of my estate.

First I give and bequeath unto my beloved Son Caleb WILLIAMS a peace of land runing as follows -- begining at a large live oak on the side of the road runing west tell it brings the corner of the patch to bear North thence South to MILLE[R]s line thence along the said line to an East Corse to a stake in ye woods thence North till the said live oak will bear West thence West to the said oak.

I give and bequeath unto my Son Joseph WILLIAMS a peace of land runing as follows begining at the Old log house gut thence Eastly along MILLERs line unto Calebs bounds thence North to the sound side.

I give and bequeath unto Comfort my beloved Wife all the remainder of my land during her natural life or widdowhood and after which to be divided between my two younger Sons James and Robert and I bequeath unto my Wife all my household furniture excepting of one bed and one barrell of feathers with all my creatures.

I give and bequeath unto my Son Jacob WILLIAMS feather bed, and one barrell of feathers to my Son Joseph.  My peteauger I leave unto my three Sons Jacob, Joseph and James.

I constitute and ordain my two Sons Jacob WILLIAMS and Joseph WILLIAMS my executors of this my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 25th day of September 1775.
