Feb. 2, 1724/5 - no probate attached but letters granted July 1724/25

In the Name of God  a men the 2d Day of febry anno 1724/5.  I William WILLIAMS of Carrotuck percinck In the County of albormarle and In the province of North Carrolina being very Sick and week of Body But of Sound and parfect mind and memory praise Be therefore given to allmighty god for Itt and Calling to mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that itt is appointed for all once to Die Do Make and ordaine This my presentt Last will and Testement In manner and form following That is to Say first and principle of all I Give and Recomend my Soule In to the hands of almighty god That gave it hopping Through my Blessed Savours Death and passion to have full and free pardon of all my Sins which I have Commited In This wicked world and my Body I Commit to ground to Be Berried In Such Desent Christon manner as my Execer here after Named Shall think fit and as for all Such worldly Estate as In [it] hath pleased almighty [God] to Bless me in this Life I give Dispose thereof as followeth

first I will That all my Debts Be paid and Discharged.

Imprimis I give and Bequeath to My Son Thomas WILLIAMS That Tract of Land where I formerly Lived on up Tulls Creek to him and his heirs for Ever and also one Negro garle I give to my Sd Son Thomas Called Se_e? and all her Increase to him and his heirs and assigns for Ever and also my will and Desier is that my wife Mary [next word unreadable] have the profit Use and possion [possession] of the plantation I now Live on During her widowood [sic] only the New ground I Exept for my Son Stephen WILLIAMS and one of the? houses? to Develo? Ju__? and after my wife Mary WILLIAMS Maries my will and Desier is that the houle? one Third of the plantation aforesd and other Two Thirds to my Son Stephen and after my Sd wifes Depts I [nothing else written on this line]

Item I give and Bequeeth all my plantation and Land belonging to Itt that I now Live on at the moth [mouth] of Tulls Creek Excpt part of the Island Called In the woods at the head Line Joying [joining] to the Land I Bought of Mr William SWANN to him and his heirs and assigns for Ever and if my Son Stephen Should Die without Isue then to fall to my Son Tulle WILLIAMS and also I give to my Sd Son Stephen one Negro woman Calld Bess And al her Increase to him and his heirs and assigns for Ever only Excpting to my wife her Services During her widowood and further my will is that my Son Stephen have the Sorrall horse Cald Whisspers?.

Item I give and Bequeath to my Son Tulle WILLIAMS The Two hundred and Ninty Seven akers of Land that I Bought of Mr William SWANN and the part of That Island Excpted In the Land given to my Son Stephen and his heirs for Ever and if my Son Tulle Should Die without out Esue to fall to my Son Stephen and his heirs for Ever and also my will is That my Son Tulle WILLIAMS hath one Negro woman Cald Pl____ and al her Increase [crease] only my wife to have her services? during her widowood Tell [till] my Son Tulle WILLIAMS Comes To the age of one Twenty years then to him and heirs and assigns for Ever But if my wife Shoul Die or marie Then my will is That my Son Tulle Should imeadeaintly take her part his on [own] possision and al her Increase for Ever and also I give to my Sd Son Tulle one young Rone Mare Coalt with Stare in her face and all her Increase to him and his for Ever.

Item I give and Bequeath to my Three Sons Thomas Stephen and Tulle one hundred and fifty akers of timber Land Lying Up Tuls Creek Cald Long Leet to Be Eaquailly Devided amongst them.

Item I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Jann BRENT the Use of my Negro garle Cald ____? and the Use of al her Increase During her Naturall Life only I Excpt the first child the Sd Negro garle brings for my grand Son Johathan BRENT and his heirs for Ever and after my Daughter Jann BRENTs Decs I give and Bequeath to my grand Daughter Mary BES? [Jones says Mary Brent] the Sd Negro garle and al the Rest of her Increase to her and her heirs for Ever.

Item I give and Bequeath to my Daughter Abigaile PHILLIPS one Negro Boye Cald Jack and to the heirs Lawfuly Begotten of her Body and for want of such heirs to fall to Tulle WILLIAMS and his heirs for Ever.

Item I give and Bequeath to my Two Sons Stephen and Tulle one hundred accares of Marsh Lying in the Island Cald Gibeses Island to them and ther heirs for Ever.

Item I give and Bequeath to my Loving Wife Mary WILLIAMS one Negro man Cald Glasco to her and her heirs for Ever and also the horse Cald Dick & al my parsonalle Estate During her widowood only I Except five pounds to pay for my Son Tulles scooling one year? and further my will and Desier is that if my wife Mary Should marrie or Die that Then my Two Sons Stephen and Tulle Should Each of them have one Cow and Each Two yeows a peace out of my Estate and Then to Eaqeally Devided amongst them all, and also I will That a True Invatory of al my Estate persinnalle and that None Be Investgated? and also I make ordaine and appoint my Loveing wife Mary WILLIAMS Erus? Sole and Lawfull Exetrix with my Son Tulle of this my Last will testmt as witnes my hand and Seale this 2d Day of febey annoquest? domini 1724/5.
