At an Inferior Court of Pleas and Quarter Session held at the Courthouse in Currituck on the first Tuesday in June Anno Domini 1769
Present His Majesties Justice
The Last Will and Testament of William WILLIAMS and the Last Will and Testament of James PARKER deceased having been then and there in open court exhibited, duly proved, and the respective executors the oath qualified in due form of law the said Wills were ordered to be registered, accordinglyThe Last Will and Testament of William WILLIAMS here follows In Hoc Verba.
North Carolina Currituck County In the Name of God Amen, I William WILLIAMS of the said County and the Province being very sick but in perfect memory, Thanks be to God for it knowing it is once appointed for all men to die. In the first place I recommend my sole to Almighty God that gave it me and body to be buried at the discretion of my executors and this I acknowledge to be my Last Will and Testament and now I began and dispose of in the following manner.
I leave my land between my two Sons Thomas and James; Thomas to have the half to a branch and James to have the other part only my Wife to have for her widowhood; and all the rest of my estate to my Wife and not to be interrupted.
It is my desire that if my negroe wench breeds that her children is between my Son John and my Daughter Anne.
I appoint Ephram DAVIS and my loving Wife whole and Sole executors to which I have hereto set my hand and seal this 23 day of October 1768.
