In the Name of God Amen, I Leml WOODHOUSE of the County of Currituck in the State of N. Carolina being Very sick of body but of perfect and disposing mind & memory Thanks be to God for the same Calling to mind that it is appointed for all to die do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follweth
1st I give and Recommend my Soul to God who first gave it to me Nothing Doubting that at the Last day I shall be led into his Everlasting Kingdom. As touching those worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and bequeath in the following manner, Viz...
Item. I give and bequeath unto my sister Mary GRAY one Negroe Girl Named Die.
Item. I give and bequeath unto William Woodhouse CREEDLE one Negroe girl Named Chinia to him and his heirs.
Item. I give to my cousin Nathan O'NEEL One Negroe boy named Ned to him and his heirs. I also give him all my Cloaths.
Item. I give unto my Cousin Saml O'NEEL one Negroe boy Named Will to him and his heirs.
Item. I give unto my friend Saml JARVIS JUNr One Negroe man Named Sam to him and his heirs. Also one Mare.
Item. I give unto my Aunt Elizabeth O'NEEL One Negroe Woman named Jone. After her death my desire is that said Joan (sic) and Increase fall to and be the property of my Cousin Nathan NEEL and his heirs.
Item. I give unto Uncle Thomas TAYLOR one Negroe boy Named Ishmeal to him and his heirs.
I leave my Uncle Thomas TAYLOR & John HUMPHRIES Esqr Executors of this my last will & Testament Utterly Disanulling all others Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal 19th day of April Anno Dom 1780.
