Alice (Barnett) Midgett

 Alice Barnett, daughter of Oliver O'Neal Barnett & his 2nd wife, Mary Louise Fulcher, was born March 3, 1871 & died Jan. 17, 1898. She married Edward James Midgett in Kennekeet, NC on Oct. 27, 1888 and to this union were born six children: 1) Luther G. Midgett (1889-1905) 2) Lovie R. Midgett (1891-1891) 3) Lula May Midgett [twin] (1893-1964); married Baxter Miller Jennette 4) Lucy Midgett [twin] (1893-1893) 5) John Evans Midgett (1895-1982); married Aretha W. Quidley & Blanche Farrow 6) William Oliver Midgett (1897-1897) After Alice's death, Edward James married Carrie Christian Midgett and they had nine children. |
