Ivey Ethelbert Daniels and his grandson, Walter Bailey "Wally" Gray, III

Ivey Ethelbert Daniels, born in Wanchese on July 18, 1901, was the oldest of 9 children born to William Ethelbert "Tucker" Daniels & Lillie (Gallop) Daniels.  Ivey married Esta Edna Simpson in Manteo on August 3, 1922 and they had four children--two boys and two girls.  Their youngest daughter, Lillie Wynona "Doll" Daniels, married Walter Bailey Gray, Jr. and they are the parents of "Wally" Gray, III.  Ivey & Esta are buried in the Daniels Cemetery in Wanchese.  [see a photo of Ivey, his mother & some of his siblings]  [see Ivey's obituary]
