Arthur VanBuren Midgett

Arthur VanBuren Midgett, son of Erasmus Scarborough Midgett and Matilda Anne O'Neal, was born in Rodanthe on May 7, 1874 and died on April 27, 1956.  He married Dorothy Bannister Midgett (1872-1943) in Rodanthe on June 26, 1892 and they had 3 daughters: Odessa, Esta and Alethia.  Arthur was a Surfman at the Little Kennekeet Station from 1899-1906 and a Surfman at the Chicamacomico Station from 1908-1914.  The caption on this photograph says: Arthur Midgett WWII.
