Dare County Wills
This Will or Indenture made this the 12 day of January 1927 by and between W.H. Poyner of the first part and E.U.Poyner of the second part all of the county of Dare and State of North Carolina. Witnesseth that the said W.H. Poyner for the good will and natural love I have for my Son E.U. Poyner I here with give Grant and convey my Homestead And all Improvements thereto belonging, After my death to E.U. Poyner to his heirs and assigns: that for the natural love and good Will I have for my Son E.U. Poyner, I make this covenant and agreement To have and to hold said primeses unto his use for ever in Witness where off I here unto set my hand and seal.

It is therefore considered and adjudged by the Court that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last Will and Testament of W.H. Poyner, deceased. Let said Will, together with the probate, be recorded and filed. This 13th day of July, 1936.

Meekins, Clerk Superior CourtNOTE: According to his death certificate, William Henry Poyner (listed as "Piner" on the certificate) was born in Hatteras on September 30, 1850 to Robert & Polly "Piner". He died in Frisco on May 11, 1930. He married Margaret B. Rollinson (1850-1917) about 1873 and they had four known children:
1) Robert R. Poyner (Nov 1874 - ????)
2) Arkey Empie Mary Isabel Catherine Poyner (Nov 1878 - ????); married John Lotson Austin, Jr.
3) Eloomus Erasmus Poyner (Aug 25, 1881 - Dec. 3, 1930); never married
4) Lonnie Poyner (c1884 - ????)
