Mr. S.W. Anderson, of Wilson, a member of the Junior Class, has
returned to College and resumed his work.

Prof. P.T. Durham has returned from Milton where he went to fill an
engagement. He leaves Saturday for Raleigh where he is to deliver an
address in Central Church Sunday.

Mr. Stewart Mims, brother of Prof. Edwin Mims, has recently been
elected to the Faculty of Bell Buckle Training School in Tennessee,
and this morning to assume his new duties. Mr. Mims is a member of
the Junior class and has the best wishes of all his associates.

Saturday evening the Current Topics Club held its regular meeting.
Some advantages of reading Papers and Magazines was discusses by Dr.
Few, Prof. Gill spoke of the “Great Scholars Now Living,” and Prof.
Flowers spoke on “Cecil Rhodes.” The Current Topics Club has afforded
the opportunity for discussing questions of public interest. It is
always well attended and is important factor in College life.

The County Commissioners have taken steps to extend Main Street to the
west. The authorities of the College have given permission for the
road to run through the front part of the campus. This road is to be
wide and out through West Durham and will provide a boulevard
which will be a popular driveway. This extension will add much to the
beauty of the Park.
