Aged woman dead; funeral Saturday
Mrs. J C McDade sucumbs to complication ailments aged 74 following an illness of 10 weeks duration, Mrs. J C Mcdade, one of Durham’s oldest residents died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gaston George, 810 Lottie St, Durham, NC, Friday afternoon at the age of 74 years.
The deceased is survived by five children, four daughters, Mrs. Addie Geroge, Mrs. Nannie Crabtree, Mrs. Ella Foreman and Mrs. Bell Hill, of this city and one son, J L McDade of New York city.
The funeral will be conducted from Fuller Memorial Presbyterian church, Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Rev R S Carson, the pastor, officiating, and the interment will be made in Maplewood cemetery, Durham, NC.
The following will serve as pallbearers; Dallas Ferrell, Edward Glenn, Nell Sloan, W A O’Neill, Z R Thomas and L O Hillard while the following will act as floral bearers: Misses Mattie and Maggie Thomas, Viola Wheeler, Nellie Crabtree and Mattie Hill.
